September is National Yoga Awareness Month.

If you already love yoga, this is a great time to deepen your practice.

If you have been considering starting a yoga practice, this month is a great time to do so!

For us at Innergy Corporate Yoga, every month is yoga month.

There isn’t a day that goes by that we’re not reading about it, writing about it, posting about it, or teaching it.

We love sharing the benefits of yoga classes, especially for busy professionals, and what a perfect month to pause and reflect on the importance of raising awareness around yoga and its many health benefits.

Whether you are back in the office, working remotely or have a regular yoga practice, here are three ways you can celebrate National Yoga Awareness Month.

1. Take a Class

What better way to commemorate National Yoga Awareness month than to incorporate yoga into your lifestyle.

Gather a group of your closest friends or colleagues for a live or virtual event together.

Not sure where to start? Check out our Take 5 to Innergize resources and learn that it can take less than five minutes to Innergize your day!

2. Give the Gift of Yoga

Do you have a friend or colleague you can support with sharing the benefits of yoga? What better time to give the gift of yoga than National Yoga Awareness Month?

Invite your friend to a local studio, or head to your company yoga class together. This time of year is also prime for getting back into a routine, so see if your community offers any opportunities to get outside and stretch.

At the office, if your employees are novices—and maybe a little apprehensive about heading straight to a class – host a virtual class.

3. Learn More About Yoga

There is so much more to Yoga than just the physical poses. Learning about the history and philosophy of yoga can give us a framework to lead a healthier, more peaceful life.

There are an abundance of resources out there: books, podcasts, websites, your yoga teacher – leverage all of these resources like a guidebook and use your learning about yoga as a starting point for creating positive change and use this month to research more on the topic and choose exercises that fit your needs.
