Winter is right around the corner and with that comes the lovely holiday season. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Does the month of December stress you out? You\u2019re not alone. Here are our five tips to make December a breeze.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">1.<strong>Don\u2019t be afraid to say no! <\/strong>Your time is precious and you don\u2019t want this year to be another holiday that you are too busy to actually enjoy. Set yourself a guide to follow with enough time for you to enjoy each activity you have on your schedule. Once you\u2019ve reached your limit, say no! Your friends, colleagues and family will understand if you can\u2019t make it to yet another festive dinner party. So breathe and don\u2019t be afraid to be a little selfish with your time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">2. <strong>Get your holiday shopping done early.<\/strong> The key to the holidays is to be proactive. Make sure you\u2019ve made your list and checked it twice during the first two weeks of December to avoid rushing, long line ups and unnecessary stress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">3. <strong>Remember to eat your greens.<\/strong> Nothing ruins the holidays more than the flu. Keep your immune system armed and ready by eating nutritious wholesome meals. Eating healthy also helps to balance out the delicious baked goods that you\u2019re bound to indulge in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">4. <strong>Stay on top of your mental health.<\/strong> Make sure that you keep up with the regular parts of your weekly routine that you enjoy and cherish. Don\u2019t hold back if you need a day to yourself. Go for a walk, meet up with friends or catch up on a project at work if you need to. Your mental health doesn\u2019t have to suffer during \u201cthe happiest time of the year\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">5. <strong>Get your body moving!<\/strong> In these colder months it\u2019s important to build up some body heat with exercise. We tend to spend more time indoors and less time outside doing physical things like sports or even just going for a walk around the block.
